Josep
Manyanet born January 7, 1833 in Tremp (Lleida, Spain), within a large family and Christian. He was baptized the same day and, at the age of 5 years, was offered by his mother to Valldeflors Virgin, patroness of the city. He had to work to complete secondary education in the School of Barbastro Pia and church in the diocesan seminaries of Lleida and Urgell. He was ordained priest on April 9, 1859.
After twelve years of hard work in the diocese of Urgell to serve the bishop, acting as a page and secretary, mayor of the palace, the seminary librarian, deputy secretary camera and pastoral visit, he felt called by God to be religious and to found two religious congregations.
